Question: How big is it and where does it go?
Answer: The PixPod is 6’2” 1.87m long, 4’1” 1.26m wide, and 6’6” 1.99m tall. We need space of about 10’x10’ 3mx3m on a flat, solid level floor, close to a wall with a standard 13amp power socket for the Pixpod and a small table next to it.
We also space around this for your guests to gather and queue if necessary.
Pixpod arrives on site in wheeled flight cases and travel boxes that go through any standard doorway.
Please check with your venue to ensure they can fit us in and are happy with what we do. All our equipment is PAT tested and we have £5m of public liability insurance. |

Question: How does it work?
Answer: Very simple and easy steps!
1. You and up to four friends (five people in total) get comfy in the PixPod.
2. Follow the instructions on the 10” flat screen
3. Hit the magic illuminated button when prompted and watch your expressions on the screen as the PixPod takes your picture – four times in four second intervals! Change your expression each time!
4. 20 seconds later out of the front of the machine pops your 6x4" dye sublimation print (not inferior inkjet as used by some companies)
We can add a custom banner or logo and print the log in details on your prints.
There is no cost to your guests. |

Question: Can Pixpod go in a marquee?
Answer: Yes we can set up Pixpod in a marquee but the floor of the marquee needs to be just as if we are setting it up indoors ie on a proper flat, solid, level floor. To be specific we will need the following things from you:
There must be a solid, flat, level floor with a minimum space of 3mx3m – a patio or deck is OK but if the marquee is being built on open ground or lawn we will need a solid, flat, level wooden floor laid on a metal frame with wood battening. Matting or flooring laid straight on the ground will not be level enough to build and operate the booth. Please check before booking as we do not want to disappoint you when we arrive at your venue.
We prefer to set up near the side of a marquee but Pixpod is 2m high and some marquees slope at the edges so please check yours is high enough.
We will need a 13amp power socket nearby (within 3m).
We will also need access on hard level ground, such as a stone or concrete pathway to bring in our wheeled flight cases, which fit through any standard doorway.
Although Pixpod can go in a marquee it cannot go outside in the open as rain and electricity do not mix!
